Hello to all,

For those of you who noted the links to the stories in last months Bee about the Team Faster Farms race car in the 24Hrs of Lemons Race, I hope you got a good laugh.  Personally, I almost fell out of my chair when I heard the Super Chicken War Cry.  For those who haven't, go to www.jalopnik.com and search on Team Faster Farms.  You'll be glad you did!  Be sure and watch the associated video links as well.  Latest update is they have been invited to the Hillsboro Concours d'Elegance in May (for comic relief?!?) and I am trying to get them to bring their car to our show in June.  Keep your fingers crossed!

If you need high octane gas for your high compression engine, I have found the place for you.  Rich's Automotive in San Leandro has 100 octane at the pump for $7.299 (at least it was last week when I went there).  They are at the corner of Juana and Hays Sts in San Leandro, near the BART station.  I know that sounds expensive, but the last time I went to my local auto parts store for a 5 gal can of 100 octane gas it was nearly $90!  Yikes!  I'll be happy to save over $10 per gallon for the slight inconvenience of a drive to SL.

If you know of an individual or business that would like to sponsor one of the trophy classes for our show, this is the time to step forward and let one of the officers know as well.  For a mere $100, an individual or business can sponsor a trophy class.  This entitles them to a year long listing on this website in our sponsors listings, a 10'x10' space at the swap meet with our show and their name listed in The Bee.  We are also looking for sponsors willing to donate items for our show raffle.  Last years show was a real success with over 300 cars and probably 5000+ people attending throughout the day. This is a fantastic and inexpensive way to advertise your local business.

Look for your February Bee coming soon!
