I HAVE SEEN THE ELEPHANT! 

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately up in Vacaville for work, including many overnights.  Down the road from the hotel I stay at is the Vacaville Chrysler dealership.  Went down there one evening because I thought I saw a new Challenger on display.

  Well, I was not disappointed...They had two!  Both SRT8’s in Brilliant Black Metallic with the Carbon fiber insets on the hood.  That SRT8 6.1 does look very impressive in person.  And, for just a shade south of 73 kilo-bucks, one of them could follow you home!  Not that I’m trying to sell cars or anything….  

Is that our very own John McDonald in the Young Guns section of the Oct ’08 Mopar Muscle magazine?  Way to go, John! 

I have noticed a lot more coverage in the national magazines of our Mopar hobby on the left coast.  Our Rally was prominently featured on the website of Mopar Muscle magazine and I have seen a couple of our members cars featured in their Readers Rides section.  It is very gratifying to see that, since almost all the publishers of those mags are at least a couple time zones away from us.  If you are proud of your car (and you should be!)

take a moment to get a good picture or two of it and send it in to your favorite Mopar magazine.  It couldn't hurt and you might even get a pic of your car published nationwide, and wouldn't that be cool!
